The Autonomous Undersea Systems Institute is sponsoring the 10th International Symposium on Unmanned Untethered Submersible Technology on September 7-10, 1997. The Symposium will be held at the New England Center for Continuing Education at the University of New Hampshire

Symposium topics include:

Intelligent Systems/Technologies Communications
Autonomous Manipulation Modeling
Underwater Imaging Energy
Sensor Systems and Processing Distributed Control
Guidance and Control Systems Hydrodynamics
Navigation Applications of AUV Technology
Reliability Operational Systems Experience

ABSTRACT DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1, 1997

Abstracts should be from 500-1000 words and must include the author's name, organizational affiliation, and address. The abstract should reflect the technical issues to be discussed and/or methods used for analyzing those issues. The abstract title and authors' names should be set apart from the abstract.

Notification of acceptance will approximately March 1, 1997, and completed papers will be due approximately July 1, 1997.

CALL FOR VIDEOS

As in the past, we are requesting short videos describing project results or ongoing activities. Abstracts describing the video should be included with your submission. Entries should be edited to provide a clear, high-quality, quickly-paced presentation of general interest to conference attendees. Suggested length is one to five minutes of pre-edited videotape (8mm camcorder tape, VHS, and Super VHS formats). Please label videotape mailer "Magnetic Media Enclosed". All selected videos will be compiled into a single tape, duplicated, and made available at the conference for a modest fee.
